Reaching out for help when you are struggling with your mental health takes a significant amount of courage, and I am so glad you are here! Working with a counsellor is a trusting relationship, and like any other relationship in your life, it might take a few tries before you find the right fit. If you have tried counselling in the past, and found yourself struggling to connect, you are not alone- I know it can be frustrating, and I am here to help.
I believe my role is to help guide you toward who you want to be and recognize the strengths you already possess in your journey to wellness, those which many of us struggle to see for ourselves; especially when we feel like we are floundering.
I work predominantly with adolescents and young adults, but I have experience working with people of all ages.
As an accredited school counsellor, I have over 15 years of experience supporting young people in middle and high school. This work allows me to bring my extensive knowledge of the school system to our work together, and I am happy to consult and collaborate with school teams if you so choose. I have experience navigating divisional educational support services, supporting conversations with school and divisional administration, as well as knowledge navigating the Manitoba Education policies and protocols.
